My name is Paula Martinez-Mascareñas, born and raised in this Magical valley of Taos New Mexico. 4th generation Rancher, Mother, Daughter, Educator, Dancer, and
current Cancer Survivor. With a rich History of Healers in my family, I have embraced my traditions and old ways of healing oneself holistically. I have studied and obtained my Holistic Health and Healing Certificate through UNM-Taos in 2008. It wasn't until
2020 when I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, that I took my healing and recovery journey into my own hands, and assisted myself with creating my own pain
salve to aid in the pain and discomfort with the Chemo treatments, and the side effects of the drugs they give you to fight the disease. I refused to take any of the
prescribed pain medication, for fear of more side effects. I wanted an alternative Holistic approach to handle my pain and inflammation I was experiencing
during and after Chemo treatments and long term after care pain management. I also drank and consumed osha with honey during my journey to also assist with
my dry mouth and throat, and support my immune system.
Creating something positive out of something so negative has given me the opportunity to help others find healthier ways to assist their own healing Journey.
