Honey Lavender Roasted Chicken
Ingredients:
1/2 Tbsp. olive oil
4 chicken leg quarters
1/2 cup white wine
1 Tbsp. honey
10 cloves garlic, peeled and halved
1 tsp. Frolicking Deer Culinary Lavender
1 lemon, cut into slices
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Season chicken with salt and pepper
Add olive oil to a cast iron pan over medium-high heat
Add chicken to the pan and brown well on both sides, working in batches if needed
Remove chicken from the pan, drain out excess fat, add wine and honey and swirl to deglaze the pan
Arrange chicken pieces in the pan, sprinkle with lavender leaves and add lemon slices on top
Place in the oven and cover with a sheet of foil. Bake 20 minutes
Remove foil and bake another 20-25 minutes, until juices run clear when poked with a knife

I made this recipe tonight. Oh my goodness it is absolutely delicious! My husband said I better keep a copy and fix it often. The honey/lemon/garlic/lavender/wine seasonings are big hits. I love how simple this was to make also. I had everything in the pantry but the wine. He was more than glad to shop for me.
Ps, in the directions where you add the lemon slices & lavender to the top, I added the garlic as well on the top.
The only problem I now have is the entire house smells like a restaurant. I want more & I only made enough for two plates. Thank you for all the fab recipes you post!
