Chimayo Red Chile Pecans

The spicy sweet pecans make a great snack or topping for a salad

2 cups pecan halves
1 Tbsp. canola oil
2 Tbsp. maple syrup
1 Tbsp. Chimayo Pure Red Chile Powder
1/2 tsp. kosher salt


Preheat oven to 275 and lightly oil a baking sheet
In mixing bowl, combine canola oil, maple syrup, chile powder and salt
Add pecans and stir to coat thoroughly and spread them onto your sheet pan
Bake 10 minutes, remove from oven and stir, they will be sticky
Return to oven for a total of abouot 25 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes
until they are dry and have a dark roasted color
Transfer to a mixing bowl, seperate with a spatula and allow to cool
Store in an airtight container
