The traditional New Mexico symbol of Christmas. Made in New Mexico from the bright red fresh Piquin peppers grown for centuries in the Mesilla Valley region of southern New Mexico. Available with or without decoration (heads of garlic, seed pods, dried flowers and wide raffia ribbon) also available in a heart-shaped version. Specially treated to retain color and not drip dangerous Chile juice, attract fruit flies, or become moldy. (Hang inside without problems). Round wreath measures 11 - 12" in diameter with each Piquin pepper being about 2-4 inches long. Lasts up to 5 years in dry climates, 2 years in humid climates (even longer if hung indoors). Topped with a corn husk for decoration; a string loop allows for easy hanging. This Ristra is NOT EDIBLE. (for edible Chili, see our Dried Chili Pods page).
