La Ristra de Chile Piquín es solo decorativa y no comestible. Está especialmente tratada para evitar que gotee el peligroso jugo de chile, atraiga moscas de la fruta o se enmohezca. A diferencia de una Ristra fresca o comestible, puede colgarla en interiores sin problemas. Además, dura hasta 5 años en climas secos y 2 años en climas húmedos. Está cubierta con una hoja de maíz para decorar. Incluye un lazo de cuerda para colgarla fácilmente.
