New Mexico's official state vegetable is the Chile Pepper, Red, Green or Christmas a combination of both. New Mexico chile has been growing in popularity and is now recognized all over the world. This premium chile sauce is made from New Mexico Red Chile, garlic and spices. It is a traditional family recipe. Just open heat and pour over enchiladas, eggs, hash browns, and burritos. Use as a marinade for Carne Adovada.

Unless they packed the indigenous Chile to New Mexico themselves and took them after a visit or had them shipped after the fall harvest, they had to do without.

After returning to New Mexico in 1996, the entrepreneurial spirit emerged and they longed to do something that brought together all the things that were a part of who they were: culture, food, music, traditional recipes and la cocina (the kitchen where my family has gathered for many years). The business and its products began to come together as I found out that I descended from a lineage of entrepreneurs and simple townspeople who understood hospitality and good food. The products and recipes were born of a multicultural energy and spirit that took root in New Mexico in the early 1500's. Some are derived from traditional recipes to which they have added more inventive fare. They are committed to creating the finest, award-winning gourmet food products. In order to ensure the high quality and consistency of all of the Santa Fe seasons products, they are still made in small batches.

Santa Fe Season's products have found a place at the tables of many fine resorts and restaurants, gourmet, gift, gallery and grocers throughout the US and in Germany. They have combined equal parts imagination and history with some unique highquality ingredients to create an incredible, edible culinary experience. In the past I have used herendez red sauce, I don’t recall the exact name. A few years ago they stopped making it. So I am on the hunt for a suitable replacement. I see here you have a red chili sauce. Do you think it is just what I need for my pozole? I was thinking of one jar of hot and one of medium combined. I welcome your opinion and advice.
