Green Chile Turkey Burgers

1 lb. ground turkey
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 egg
3/4 cup pepper jack cheese, shredded
4 oz. Santa Fe Ole Hatch Green Chile
2 green onions, finely diced
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. cumin
2 tsp. minced garlic
salt and pepper
brioche buns
garnishes: sliced tomato, lettuce leaves, sliced red onion and mashed avocado

In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, cheese, chile and green onion
Add spices, mix until well incorporated and season with salt and pepper
Form 5 equal sized patties, place on a sheet pan and refrigerate about 20 minutes
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook 2-3 minutes, until deep golden and flip
Cook another 2-3 minutes or until cooked through (165 degrees)
To assemble, place the bottom half of the bun on plate and add mayo
Layer with lettuce, turkey, avocado, tomato and onion
