Cherry Lavender Lemonade

2 cups water
2 cups sugar
2 cups cherries, pitted
1 1/2 tsp. Frolicking Deer Culinary Lavender
juice of 4 lemons
3 cups water

In a saucepan, add 2 cups water, sugar and cherries. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar
Reduce to a low simmer and add lavender. Gently simmer for 10 minutes
Strain by pressing the cherries to get out all the juices. Do not discard the cherries
Combine lemon juice with 1 cup of your lavender cherry syrup and 3 cups of water.
You can combine the reserved cherries with a bit of the syrup to make an awesome cherry lavender sauce
